La colección Z U M A I A  está inspirada en el paisaje rocoso que muestra visible los diferentes estratos que conforman la costa de Zumaia, en el Pais Vasco.

Zumaia ha sido creada a partir de 48 láminas de metal con diferentes siluetas que, recortadas a mano una a una y soldadas después, componen las piezas de la colección. Sus siluetas hablan de ese paisaje erosionado, de sus múltiples estratos como hojas de un libro escrito por el tiempo, de las diversas capas de la tierra que parecen moverse y transformase lentamente...

Son joyas en las que el metal macizo y los espacios vacíos se alternan y se equilibran. El aire entra en las piezas para aligerar su peso y volverlas ingrávidas a la vez que mantienen su contundencia.

En estas piezas hemos buscado el equilibrio en la asimetríaa, la belleza de la irregularidad y la espontaneidad de las formas que aluden a un paisaje cargado de memoria.

The Z U M A I A  collection is inspired by the rocky landscape that visibly show the different layers that make up the cost of Zumaia, in Pais Vasco (España).

Zumaia has been created from 48 sheets of metal with different silhouettes that, cut out by hand one by one and then welded, make up the pieces in the col- lection. Their silhouettes speak of that eroded landscape, of its multiple layers like sheets of a book written by time, of the various layers of the earth that seem to move and slowly transform ...

​

They are jewels in which solid metal and empty spaces alternate and balance. Air enters the pieces to lighten their weight and make them weightless while maintaining their forcefulness.

In these pieces we have sought balance in asymmetry and we have wanted to convey the beauty of the irregularity and the spontaneity of the forms that allude to a landscape full of memory.
